Hi I'm Rosie, I completed my A Levels in the summer of 2024 and am now studying Medicine at the University of Exeter. I achieved high grades in my GCSEs (eight grade 9s & two grade 8s) and A Levels (A*AA in biology, chemistry and geography) and balanced my academic studies alongside my hobbies of rowing and music :) Throughout GCSEs and A Levels, I was tested by many challenging concepts and exam questions... at times this was frustrating!! However, it led me to develop a large variety of strategies for breaking down and understanding difficult content. As a tutor, I will share these techniques & resources to help students overcome their own barriers to schoolwork or exam revision. I have very confident communication skills and really enjoy working with young people! Hello! My name is Saleena, and I am a first year Physics with Theoretical Physics student at Imperial College London. I have previous experience in tutoring Maths and English and I am very passionate about teaching! I believe that a gentle but effective approach to tutoring is best, by increasing first understanding and then practice. My academic journey has gone from having a passion for the law to studying physics, so I have lots of experience in honing skills in different subjects! Additionally, I have achieved 8 9s and 2 8s in my GCSES and A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Physics A Levels, so I have a fairly good grasp on how to improve exam technique. Outside of my physics studies, I also write for my university's newspaper as well as writing short fiction, as I really enjoy more literary pastimes in contrast to my everyday studies. Hi, I’m Onyiu, a passionate tutor with 1 year of tutoring experience, dedicated to helping students build confidence in A-Level Psychology, IGCSE First Language English, and IGCSE Global Perspectives. As a second-year psychology student at the University of Bath (with an achieved First Class mark in first-year), I am able to constantly build onto my own learning and understanding of the field whilst simultaneously imparting this onto my students. In 2024, I also won Northeastern University London's Essay Competition for Psychology, with my essay titled: "To what extent do mental factors impact ageing?" In my IGCSEs, I achieved A* (highest achievable) in IGCSE First Language English and Literature (CIE). For sixth form, I studied at Cheltenham Ladies College and achieved an A in A-Level Psychology (AQA). Having written an EPQ has also equipped me with highly effective time management skills. I believe this will significantly contribute to my effectiveness as a tutor, alongside the empathy I have cultivated having experienced the countless trials and tribulations of my own academic career.

I have been able to achieve an A* in English Literature and 9 in GCSE English-Literature after struggling to get passed D/C's initially at the start of those educational milestones. I have mulitple years of tutoring experience, both within a tutoring centre and independently. While working at TOP LEARNING (Sept 2022 – March 2023), I supported students from Year 1 to Year 11 through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions, tailoring my approach to different learning styles and confidence levels. I particularly enjoyed helping students build self-belief alongside academic skills, especially in GCSE English, as well as Maths and English at primary level.
