Hello, I'm Isla! I recently graduated from Durham University with a first-class degree in Biological Sciences. During my second and third years at university, I formally tutored students at various levels up to A-Levels. I greatly enjoy teaching and have been doing informal tutoring throughout my educational journey from GCSEs. I am keen to help students understand, engage with, and enjoy the content they are learning! I tutored Biology A-Level during my university years. During my work experience and while volunteering for a SHINE project, I worked with younger kids (KS2) to provide English lessons. I immensely enjoyed teaching this subject and am enthusiastic about English. I obtained an English Literature scholarship for my A-level education, achieved an A* for English Literature A-level, and am spending my current year after my university degree working on a novel. I would love to help any student find a passion for creative writing or analysis of literature, which allows them to prepare before they go into KS3 or GCSEs. In my free time, I work on a fiction novel, sew, or hike in the wilderness. I am interested in mycology, spending lots of time looking for and identifying various fruiting fungi, and zoology, enjoying any time spent with animals! Hi, I’m Onyiu, a passionate tutor with 1 year of tutoring experience, dedicated to helping students build confidence in A-Level Psychology, IGCSE First Language English, and IGCSE Global Perspectives. As a first-year psychology student at the University of Bath, I am able to constantly build onto my own learning and understanding of the field whilst simultaneously imparting this onto my students. For sixth form, I studied at Cheltenham Ladies College and achieved A*AAA in EPQ, A-Level Psychology, English Literature, and Mathematics (3 marks away from A*). I hold a upperclass 2:1 BA Honors degree in English Language and Spanish. During my third year, I successfully completed the ERASMUS+ program at the university of Granada, Spain. Through immersing myself in the language and culture, I can confidently say that I have a strong command of the Spanish language. The following year, I embarked on an Masters degree in Translation Studies. I completed an internship in Barcelona that really sparked my interest to seek job opportunities that involved writing, editing and translation. I soon landed a job in bid writing for a Spanish Engineering company where I was able to put my skills to the test. My most recent teaching experience at an EF language centre in Indonesia, homed in on making the classroom a fun and exciting environment. Students from as young as 3 had evening classes, therefore incorporating interactive games and eliciting grammatical points were essential to keep students stimulated. In 2021, I worked as a Primary school Teacher at a British School in Madagascar. This experience was both extremely challenging and rewarding as the majority of my students spoke 3+ languages, English usually being the least spoken. Lesson planning very quickly became second nature and easy to differentiate class materials to the varied abilities within the year 5 class. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, travelling and meeting up with my friends.

My name is Lucas. I have been a lifelong lover and student of the English language and achieved a 2:1 in English from UCL, graduating 2025. I am a second-year LLB Law student at the University of Warwick, predicted a First Class degree. I achieved 10 Grade 9s at GCSE and ranked 1st in my A-Level English Language cohort with a 95% score.
