I’m a second year Maths with Economics student at UCL with over two years of tutoring experience. I know how important the right support can be because I went to a state school myself, where resources were limited. Even so, I achieved all grade 9s at GCSE, including English and Further Maths, and went on to finish top of my year at school. At A level I achieved A* in Further Maths and Maths and A in Chemistry and Chinese. I enjoy using my own experiences to guide students and show them that with the right approach and mindset, they can exceed their expectations. One of my proudest moments was helping a GCSE Maths student move from a grade 4 to a grade 8. My teaching style is patient and approachable. Hi, I'm Max, a master's student currently studying in China. I've been learning Chinese for over 10 years, including two years of studying the language in China. This has given me strong language skills and a deep appreciation of Chinese culture. Learning Chinese has given me a genuine passion for languages, and I really enjoy helping others build confidence and achieve their own language goals. I understand the challenges learners face when learning Chinese because I've experienced the journey myself, so I aim to make lessons clear, practical, and enjoyable. Alongside my language experience, I have one year of classroom teaching experience, including teaching English as a foreign language to international students at a summer school.
