I am a dedicated final-year Biomedical Science student at Warwick University. Hi! I am Daniel - a medical student studying at Imperial College London. I have been tutoring for over 4 years now at 2 different centres and really developed a passion for this career. From the past, students have described my lessons as engaging, visual with images and exam question heavy. From my experience at GCSE receiving 11 grade 9s and A*’s at A level, I have applied my personal revision techniques into my teaching as one thing I have witnessed is top grades is not only about learning the content but actually more about exam technique. And as your tutor I will helping your child master BOTH of these with some tricks I used in exams to get the highest mark on Biology in my school for A level. In terms of how my lessons are structured, it would be very dynamic based on the students needs where I would message them for their specification point they want covered in the lesson the day before, allowing me to prepare images and questions I will use in the lesson. I would also set homework and these would be aligned exactly with their specification which would make sure they have mastered that topic. Furthermore to this, I am happy with mentoring students that are applying to medicine having been through the rigorous process myself and giving my tips and tricks for admissions exams (BMAT and UCAT) as well as interviews, having received offers from Imperial, UCL and Cambridge Summer pool. I am second year medicine student at University of Aberdeen. I started tutoring after my Scottish Higher exam and having 100 + hours of tutoring experience in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for Scottish National 5, Scottish higher and GCSE courses. I have obtained all A in my Scottish Nation 5(AAAAAAAA) , Scottish Higher (AAAAA)and Scottish Advanced Higher exam(AAA). I received offer from 3 med school. 4th one was not reject but I have withdrawn after receiving 3 offers. I focus on making strong foundation of the core of the subject by following course specification so that student can get the clear and strong understanding of the subject and eventually get confident on the subject matter. In addition to teaching Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, I do have experience of teaching Biology of National 5 and Human Biology of Scottish Higher. My personal approach is , initially to assess the student’s current level to identify the areas they are facing challenges and work on those areas to make them confident on all the subject areas. Once syllabus are covered, I will be focusing on practicing past paper and asses the score based on the marking scheme. During past paper practice, I will focus on each and every question students answer for. For all the mistakes, I will help them to understand the reason of the failure so that they can correct themselves instead I correct them directly.
