Hey, my name is Amrit and I am a first - year student at the University of Warwick studying BSc Accounting and Finance. Hi! I am a BSc Economics graduate from the University of Manchester with experience teaching Economics, Maths and English to students who want lessons explained clearly and practically. I grew up in Japan following the British curriculum. I've been both an underperforming student and high acheiving one, so I know what change is required for high performance. Having achieved an A* in A-level maths and continued with quantitative subjects in university, I am confident in my ability to improve my students' ability by at lest 2 levels over a couple of months. I have worked in finance, sales and, more relevantly, education, with now over 300 hours of private 1-to-1 tutoring experience. I did most of it in Japan, tutoring second-language English speakers rather than native speakers. This forced me to be able to explain complicated concepts - according to the student’s age – in a very concise and easy-to-understand manner, irrespective of the students' natural ability. My technique involves building a relationship with the student, grow love in their mind for the subject, and foster excitement to want to teach the same things they learnt.
