Hiya, I’m a first year medical student at the University of Manchester. Having personally overcome academic struggles while at school, I really value personalised support through tutoring and understand the importance of finding each students’ style of learning. Hello, I'm Arthur and have recently just completed my teacher training with the National Institute of Teaching and have since received my QTS and PGCE. During my training i was gifted with several wonderful mentors who were able to share with me a host of pedagogical techniques that help teachers approach student learning in the most fulfilling and effective manner. I earned my degree in Biological Sciences from UCL and although i have deep respect for all the sciences my passion for biology is derived from it sitting at the intersection of the more fundamental disciplines and everyday living. During my studies i became particularly fascinated with microbiology, with my final year project examining the curious microorganisms know as 'killer yeast'. Hi, I’m Qadir! I’m a graduate doctor (MD) and experienced tutor specialising in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry from KS3 through to A-level. I also hold a BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Exeter and have been professionally tutoring since 2021, delivering over 2,000 online lessons to students with a wide range of abilities and academic goals. Hi! I am Daniel - a medical student studying at Imperial College London. I have been tutoring for over 4 years now at 2 different centres and really developed a passion for this career. From the past, students have described my lessons as engaging, visual with images and exam question heavy. From my experience at GCSE receiving 11 grade 9s and A*’s at A level, I have applied my personal revision techniques into my teaching as one thing I have witnessed is top grades is not only about learning the content but actually more about exam technique. And as your tutor I will helping your child master BOTH of these with some tricks I used in exams to get the highest mark on Biology in my school for A level. In terms of how my lessons are structured, it would be very dynamic based on the students needs where I would message them for their specification point they want covered in the lesson the day before, allowing me to prepare images and questions I will use in the lesson. I would also set homework and these would be aligned exactly with their specification which would make sure they have mastered that topic. Furthermore to this, I am happy with mentoring students that are applying to medicine having been through the rigorous process myself and giving my tips and tricks for admissions exams (BMAT and UCAT) as well as interviews, having received offers from Imperial, UCL and Cambridge Summer pool.
