I understand that every student has their own way of learning and I aim to teach in a manner which is the most suitable for the student in order to best achieve their goals. I am currently studying English and History at University and my skills in both of these essay-based subjects have equipped me with the knowledge and understanding to best help you at the Verbal reasoning and English sections of the 11+. I have also done the 11+ myself and have attended a Grammar School from years 7-13. Furthermore, I have done formal 11+ tutoring in the past and have experience with helping 11+ students in their studies. Hi, I’m Larissa! I’m a naturally chatty, friendly and supportive person who loves helping students feel more confident in their abilities. For me, tutoring is about helping students work towards the grades they’re aiming for while also building their understanding, confidence and enjoyment of the subject. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and find an approach that works best for them. I’ve supported younger students during sixth form as well as tutoring my younger brother and family friends’ children. One of the things I’ve really enjoyed is seeing students become more confident as they start to understand a topic that they initially found difficult. I am currently achieving a consistent first-class average across my degree, including 80 in Criminal Law, the highest mark in a cohort of around 300 students, and 72 in both Contract and Tort Law.
