My approach focuses on building a strong understanding of the subject content while also developing effective exam technique, which is essential for achieving top grades. Each session is tailored to the individual student, helping them apply their knowledge confidently across a variety of exam-style questions. I am passionate about making science and maths engaging and relatable. I incorporate real-world examples to spark interest and help students see the relevance of what they’re learning. Hello! My name is Saleena, and I am a first year Physics with Theoretical Physics student at Imperial College London. I have previous experience in tutoring Maths and English and I am very passionate about teaching! I believe that a gentle but effective approach to tutoring is best, by increasing first understanding and then practice. My academic journey has gone from having a passion for the law to studying physics, so I have lots of experience in honing skills in different subjects! Additionally, I have achieved 8 9s and 2 8s in my GCSES and A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Physics A Levels, so I have a fairly good grasp on how to improve exam technique. Outside of my physics studies, I also write for my university's newspaper as well as writing short fiction, as I really enjoy more literary pastimes in contrast to my everyday studies. My approach to tutoring is very student-based; and will be tailored on a student to student basis depending on interests and which methods work best for which students. At the end of the day, my goal is to help students achieve their full potential and to help them enjoy doing it!
