Hello! My name is Saleena, and I am a first year Physics with Theoretical Physics student at Imperial College London. I have previous experience in tutoring Maths and English and I am very passionate about teaching! I believe that a gentle but effective approach to tutoring is best, by increasing first understanding and then practice. My academic journey has gone from having a passion for the law to studying physics, so I have lots of experience in honing skills in different subjects! Additionally, I have achieved 8 9s and 2 8s in my GCSES and A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Physics A Levels, so I have a fairly good grasp on how to improve exam technique. Hi! My name is Ihab and I am a LSE student studying History and Politics and currently averaging a high 2.1. I have studied a range of History topics from the Ottoman Empire, the Tudors and the Qing Empire which I enjoy. My approach to tutoring is like a conversation in which I prefer to question and prompt my student so they can grow their knowledge within my lessons. This would be through teaching them concepts and information then applying them to past paper questions, as well as my own that I have created. I can adjust the style of my lessons to my students preference in which I aim to find gaps in knowledge and then underlying issues that prevent them from fulfilling their full potential. I am an experienced tutor, as I have been tutoring for nearly 3 years with 2 of them face to face lessons in students houses in which I taught kids from KS1-KS4. I am a fourth-year medical student at King's College London. The reason I am applying for this tutoring position is that I am passionate about helping students reach their full academic potential and achieving their academic goals.
