I am a final year Physics student at King's College London, I have a deep passion for STEM. I have over a years experience in tutoring students for their examinations (both GCSE and A Level). My tutoring style for Mathematics and Physics, will ensure that the lessons are fun and effective and students will have a thorough grasp of the theory and concepts, and then move onto building exam technique so that they can get as many marks as possible. For German, I aim to practice speaking and listening, so that they improve their vocabulary and can get closer to conversing. I also aim to ensure they understand the grammar and can use a range of sentence structures. I aim to tailor revision sessions to the student, depending on their strengths and worries. And also, whether they are looking towards examinations or looking for assistance with schoolwork. Hi there, my name is Emily, and I am currently studying law at UCL whilst staying a passionate languages and English tutor! Learning a language (I can tutor German and Spanish) or perfecting one's English should be stress-free and as fun as possible. I tailor each session to my student's needs and their goals, whether that be speaking, reading, listening or writing in the target language. I also enjoy tutoring English language and literature GCSEs, since I particularly struggled with those when I was 16. I eventually persevered and achieved 9s and now know how to teach students difficult concepts and help fine tune those timed essays!

Hi! My name is Esmé and I'm a third year German & Linguistics student at the University of Oxford who is passionate about providing students with a bespoke and encouraging learning environment, whether they want to improve their grades, prepare for an exam or work through a tricky subject area. I take a student-centred approach, with my main aim being to boost the student's interest in their subject. I believe this is what fosters the best results and is ultimately the most beneficial for the student! Therefore I adapt my lessons to what the student finds suits them best, finding new and creative ways to support and inspire them. At Oxford I regularly analysed and discussed both literary and scientific texts and presented complex topics to my peers. I am therefore well-equipped to help students develop their critical thinking skills necessary for effectively analysing their English or German set texts. My decision to study Linguistics at university was a result of how much I loved doing topics such as Child Language and Historical Linguistics in English Language A-level, a subject in which I got exclusively As and A*s for graded work. During my year abroad, I consolidated my german language skills and can confidently offer tutoring in all areas including german grammar, writing and conversation. Having attained As in German and English Language A level and 9s in Maths and English Language GCSE and having a passion for language and writing that extends beyond the classroom, I know I can help students fulfil their potential with my enthusiastic and effective lessons. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to meeting you!

Hello! I’m Maia and I’m a 4th year German and Linguistics student at Queen Mary University of London, and I've just returned from my year abroad in Berlin. My love of languages and deep understanding of grammatical structures through my studies in linguistics allow me to offer a well-rounded and flexible approach to tutoring. I aim to not only provide support with a wide range of topics such as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and exam practice, but also spread my passion for languages – I believe that with the right teacher, anyone can learn a language and enjoy it! I offer tutoring for all levels: from absolute beginners to A Level. Having received a 9 in my GCSE German, an A* in my A Level, and on course to receive a first-class degree from a Russell Group university, I can also provide a wealth of exam and studying advice. In addition to my tutoring experience and academic background, I have also worked as a teaching assistant in a secondary school languages department, where I offered support to students in lessons and led one-on-one speaking sessions. I worked with students of various skill levels, which allowed me to adapt my teaching style to meet their individual needs. Through helping students gain confidence in their language abilities, I cultivated a love of teaching. I aim to make my lessons as flexible and interactive as possible, and value the importance of understanding that every pupil has a different style of learning. With this I can adapt my teaching methods to the individual. Please get in touch with any questions about your learning goals and how I can help you achieve them!

Hi! My name is Lukas, I am 23 years old and have recently graduated from a master's in Renaissance literature at St. Hilda's College, Oxford University, previously studying at St. Catherine's in Oxford for my undergraduate English Literature degree. I have achieved a high merit in my MA and a high 2.1 in my undergraduate degree. I began tutoring to supplement my income during my studies. I am very passionate about teaching literature, having worked both online and in-person with my students, and I hope to complete a PHD in the coming years to allow me to teach literature as a career. I spent the year after graduation working as a learning support assistant in a school, which has broadened my teaching abilities to suit a variety of educational needs outside of one-to-one tutoring. I am also passionate about mentoring students for application to university, especially Oxford and Cambridge, in order to encourage under-represented students from similar backgrounds to my own. My hobbies outside of literature include sport, music and film, and I am always keen to step outside my comfort zone in both my athletic and aesthetic hobbies.

Hi! I'm Jacob, and I've just graduated with a German and Philosophy degree from Oxford. I have 3 years of tutoring experience. I am particularly proud of working with a student for two years to get the grades to get into medical school. I conducted my A-levels solely through self-learning and online tutoring, so I am deeply familiar with the process. I received 3A*s for A-level and came second in the Trinity College Cambridge Philosophy Essay competition. Online tutoring was a method that worked for me, and I'm sure I can help make it work for you! I love watching students grow in confidence and ability, and I am flexible in my approach to reflect the needs of the student. I look forward to meeting you!
