Hello there! I'm a passionate final-year medical student with a BSc in Clinical Anatomy. I have been tutoring for over two years now, and will continue to do so to support my education until I finally graduate in 2025 as a junior doctor. I specialize in tutoring GCSE and KS3 students in a range of subjects, including Science, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. My tutoring style is tailored to accommodate learners of all abilities, ensuring a supportive and engaging environment that fosters academic growth. My teaching style involves exam-specific learning, to best prepare your child for what to expect on the big day. I will only use content that is included in their exam specification, which I use systematically for planning lessons and work for students. Hi! My name is Hannah and I am an Undergraduate at the University of Cambridge studying History. I achieved 10/10 Grade 9s at GCSE and 4/4 A*s at A Level in Mathematics, Economics, History, and Latin, including 99% in my History A Level. I also attained a First in my University Exams. I am available to tutor in a range of academic subjects, as well as career-orientated classes, providing help with revision strategies, personal statements, and interview preparation. I have spent the majority of my school years completing formal and informal tutoring lessons, ranging from KS2 to A Level. I also spent three months last year working at a school, where the pupils did not speak English as a first language. Hello! I'm Ruby, and I'm thrilled to offer tutoring in History and German through this platform. I'm currently studying History and German at St John's College, Oxford, where I specialise in modern global and European history. With a strong academic foundation and hands-on experience tutoring since 2019, my goal is not only to improve academic skills and help students achieve their aims in exams, but also to cultivate a genuine interest in learning. My sessions are highly interactive, and cater to the specific needs of the student, providing frequent, in-depth feedback and tips. I have experienced teaching students of a range of abilities, aims and ages and understand the importance of tailoring lessons to the individual needs. I am currently a third year student at the University of Oxford working towards my BA in Philosophy and German. My studies cover diverse subjects and have required me to develop varied approaches to my learning. Because of this I am a highly adaptable tutor and happy to explore lots of learning styles to figure out how to teach most effectively. My personal academic strengths are literary analysis (poetry, English and German literature), German language (particularly grammar and translation) and essay writing as well a strong proficiency in maths. In my first year University examinations I received a 1st in my German exams and a high 2.1 for my philosophy exams. I performed highly at A-Level receiving 2 A*s and an A and at GCSE receiving 4 9s and 4 8s including maths and further maths. Coming from a state school to study at Oxford I experienced having to work particularly hard to catch up with my peers. This experience not only made me keen to help build-up academic confidence but also equipped me with firsthand strategies for overcoming gaps in knowledge and skills. As a tutor, I can draw on my own journey to identify specific areas where students struggle. This allows me offer tailored guidance, and implement effective study techniques that worked for me, particularly breaking down big gaps in knowledge into more manageable stepping stones.
