Hi, my name is Max and I am a recent Human, Social and Political Sciences graduate at the University of Cambridge. I am confident in tutoring a vast array of subjects at IB, A Level, GCSE and KS3 levels. This includes English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Geography, Politics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. I have been working at Edumentors for over 18 months now and have tutored an array of subjects for hundreds of hours at A-Level, IB, GCSE and KS3 levels. At Sixth Form, I studied the IB and received a total of 44/45 points, with 7, 7, 7 at higher level, and also received 11 GCSE level 9s (including Further Maths). I am a recent Graduate from University of Cambridge, achieving a high 2:1 grade, focusing on Political Science and quantitative, statistical methods on Politics specifically. I have many examination and preparation techniques I look forward to sharing, which will be recommended on a student-by-student basis, meaning my tutoring is tailored to the specific needs of your child. Not only this, but if required, I am suited to delving beyond course material to debate topics at a higher level, which is excellent preparation for university work and personal statement-making. Specifically, I have helped students achieve grade 8s/9s in their English and Maths GCSE studies from the lower grades (5 and 6) they were working at initially. I have received excellent feedback from all the students I have tutored. For example, in English, I find collaborative discussion around key texts essential to unlocking the top grades. This is not only in relation to set texts, but sometimes I have found it rewarding for the student (depending on their ability) to discuss texts beyond the curriculum to challenge them further (especially in English Language lessons) Overall, my approach to teaching is professional, approachable, engaging, and I seek to tailor my teaching methods for the needs of each student. Part of this is my in-depth knowledge of exam-boards such as AQA and Edexcel, meaning I can tailor tutoring lessons to each board respectively, and ensure I cover the required content in-depth. Now that I have graduated, I am also very flexible regarding scheduling, meaning I am available for as many or as little sessions as you need me for. This will be the case until the start of next year, meaning I can offer long-term tutoring support. Aside from this, I am a keen Badminton-player, am currently learning German at an advanced level, and am the Editor-In-Chief of the Cambridge Journal of Political Affairs. These are all experiences I find very rewarding, and I hope they demonstrate to you my broad-ranging academic and extra-curricular ability. I look forward to helping your child reach their goals! Please message if you are interested, or have any questions at all.

My name is Samadi, and I am currently a first-year student at the University of Manchester, where I am pursuing an LLB in Law with Politics. I recently completed my A Levels, achieving the highest marks in A-level Politics within my cohort and securing the fourth highest marks in A-level History. My academic journey has been defined by a commitment to excellence, as demonstrated by my A* in A-level History coursework-where I achieved one of the highest marks in my cohort (38/40) and an impressive score of 80% in Paper 2 of A-level Politics. My passion for tutoring is rooted in a genuine desire to help others realise their potential and achieve the best possible outcomes. I firmly believe that every student has the capacity to excel when provided with the right support and guidance. My approach is flexible and student-centred: I adapt my teaching methods to suit the unique needs and preferences of each individual. Whether you are struggling with specific topics, seeking to create effective revision materials, or aiming to maximise your grades, I am committed to helping you reach your goals. I have gained valuable tutoring experience in a variety of settings. During a summer school programme, I worked with a class of fifteen students to help ease the transition from Year 6 to Year 7, particularly in the challenging period following the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, I have provided private one-to-one tutoring in Maths and English, supporting students at both GCSE and primary levels. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to work effectively with a diverse range of learners, adapting my teaching style to suit different ages, abilities, and learning preferences. My teaching philosophy is rooted in fostering curiosity and building confidence. I strive to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and explore new ideas. By tailoring my lessons to each student’s learning style, I aim to make challenging subjects accessible and enjoyable. I offer tutoring across a broad range of subjects and levels. At the primary and secondary level, I specialise in English Literature and Language, History, and Religious Studies, with particular experience in preparing students for KS2 and Year 6 SATs, as well as GCSE examinations. As a creative individual with a keen interest in the arts, I also offer support in GCSE Photography, a subject I am passionate about in my own time. For A-level students, I provide focused tuition in History (OCR), covering modules such as Early Modern Europe, Witchcraft, the Wars of the Roses, and the American Revolution. I also offer guidance on A-level History coursework, regardless of topic. In A-level Politics (Edexcel), I specialise in both UK and US politics, drawing on my own successful exam performance and in-depth subject knowledge. As an advanced tutor, I am also dedicated to supporting students through the university application process. I provide expert guidance on crafting compelling personal statements, offering tailored advice to help you highlight your strengths, interests, and aspirations. With a deep understanding of what universities look for, I can help you refine your writing, structure your statement effectively, and stand out in a competitive field. Whether you are applying for Law, Politics, or another discipline, I am committed to helping you present your best self and secure a place at your chosen institution. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire and equip my students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically and beyond. I look forward to supporting you on your learning journey and helping you achieve your aspirations.

Hi, I’m Ankita – a passionate Maths & Physics tutor, here to make these “boring” subjects come alive! I’ve just graduated with a degree in Design Engineering from Imperial College London, one of the UK’s top universities for science, technology, and innovation. During my time there, I also served as Vice President of the Design Engineering Society, leading events, mentoring students, and driving academic and creative initiatives. Since my first year at university, I’ve delivered over 214 private tutoring sessions, working with students of all abilities across GCSE and A-Level Maths and Physics. I’ve also taught multiple times at university level, including running sessions for PhD students and research fellows on effective presentation and storytelling techniques. 📚 Academic Achievements: AAAA at A-Level – Maths, Physics, Design Technology, Further Maths 12 GCSEs – including 11 Grade 9s and 1 Grade 7 Graduated from Imperial College London with a degree in Design Engineering 🧠 My Teaching Philosophy: At school, Maths and Physics are often seen as dry or intimidating – textbooks, lectures, and a focus on right or wrong answers. But these subjects are full of creativity and logic. I want to show students how fascinating and empowering these subjects can be when taught with energy, context, and purpose. In our lessons: I start by getting to know the student, their strengths, confidence levels, and how they learn best. If a topic is unclear, we build up from core concepts to exam-level questions with increasing challenge. I tailor every session to the individual student – whether they need support with understanding, revision techniques, or pushing for the top grades. Most importantly, I don’t just want students to pass their exams – I want them to grow into strong, independent thinkers, and to gain real confidence in their mathematical and scientific abilities. 🌟 Why Learn With Me? 200+ hours of tutoring experience University-level teaching experience Recently graduated – I understand the current education system well Enthusiastic, encouraging, and relatable Proven academic success and mentoring experience Outside tutoring, I love building real-world engineering projects, mentoring students, and exploring how technology and education can come together to make learning more engaging. If you’re looking for a tutor who really cares about student growth, confidence, and long-term success, I’d love to help. Whether your child is struggling or striving for top grades – I’ll be with them every step of the way. Message me to book a session or ask any questions!

Hi, I'm Emily and I've recently graduated from the University of St Andrews with a First Class Master of Arts (Hons) in English. I'm passionate about education and first discovered my love for teaching when I began tutoring Year 11 students for their IGCSE English exams in Sixth Form. It was so rewarding to watch their confidence grow and grades improve, and I would love to help your child to do the same. As someone who studied English Literature at university and also studied history and Latin at A-Level, I have lots of experience with textual analysis and essay writing. In tutoring sessions, I can provide feedback on assessment-style pieces of writing including coursework, guidance on the Point Evidence Analysis (PEA) structure, as well as discussions on key themes, ideas and contexts in the course materials. I also understand the immense benefits that reading for pleasure has on one's studies and am always more than happy to provide recommendations. In addition to literature, I have a lot of experience of learning languages, having studied Spanish at IGCSE, Latin at GCSE and A-Level and French at IGCSE, Higher Level IB and during my first year of university. I can help with vocab tests, going through grammatical structures, providing feedback on written pieces, translation practice and general conversation. I understand that every student has different needs and will cater my sessions to best suit their individual objectives. My teaching style is interactive, dynamic and flexible, enabling each student to get the most out of their lessons regardless of their learning style. I provide clear learning objectives for each session and engaging activities that range from mind maps to open-ended discussions, games and writing practice. I also appreciate the value of past paper practice and am keen to demystify the exam process. For each subject, I provide detailed feedback on past paper responses and guide my students through the layout of their exams, as well as the assessment objectives and criteria listed in the mark schemes. I am also always happy to offer advice on how to revise effectively and successfully navigate the stress of assessment periods. In addition to exams, I am eager to support students who are preparing to apply for higher education and can offer support for interview preparation and personal statements. Since I began tutoring, I have helped students from across the globe to pass their Common Entrance exams to Eton College and achieve top grades in their GCSEs. If you would like to learn more about my tutoring style and see how I could help support your child's learning, please reach out to the Edumentors team to book a trial session with me.

Very big improvement given a short period of time with only a small time period of about 3 months my daughter in year 10 has gone from a level U to a level 4 in her maths grade with her tutor Jose. He is a very good maths teacher and has very easy ways of doing hard GCSE maths. What my daughter used to find immensely hard is now very easy. Jose is sadly not her tutor anymore but this was a very great experience and will be looking forward to using this company again for my daughter to get high grades and pass her GCSE’s thank you very much.

Excellent service, highly recommented Booked a block of Lessons leading up to my sons maths exam as maths was his weakest subject and he felt he wanted help. Pia (the tutor) was patient and professional and explained things in a way my son could easily understand. He looked forward to each lesson and felt the lessons gave him the confidence, knowledge and understanding he needed to face his maths GCSE exam. He thinks he did really well in his first exam and we are so pleased we invested in the lessons leading up to his GCSE’s. Can’t recommend Edumentors and Pia enough. Really professional service and well worth the money.

The tutoring times were really flexible and the tutor themselves (Izzy Mitchell) was amazing. The level of communication allowed between the student and tutor made it easy for my questions to be answered quickly. So thank you so much Edumentors and Izzy! Personally, I went from a 6 to a 9 in AQA English literature in just a few weeks so if you are thinking about it, give it a go!

Imogen is a fantastic tutor and through the year prepared my daughter enabling her to get a 9 in German. Edumentor were extremely flexible and helpful in ensuring we could have the sessions when we needed them the most. I would throughly recommend using them for your GCSE tutoring.
