Every learner will receive a certificate by post. On that day, schools, colleges and training providers across Scotland will receive their students\u2019 results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher courses use grades from A to D. However, National 2, National 3 and National 4 use a different system. Even so, completed awards will still appear on the learner\u2019s certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students can learn more about <a href=\"https:\/\/edumentors.co.uk\/blog\/national-5-a-comprehensive-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">National 5 qualifications<\/a>. Schools, colleges and training providers will also receive their students\u2019 results. UCAS will receive the results it needs for university applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The certificate shows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Qualifications achieved so far<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grades or course awards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The year each result was awarded<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The relevant SCQF level<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students could also choose to receive results by text, email or both. To do this, they had to register and activate My Qualifications Scotland by 5 pm on Wednesday, the 15th of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Digital results will arrive from 8 am on SQA Results Day 2026. However, they may not all arrive at exactly 8 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration for 2026 has now closed. My Qualifications Scotland will reopen on Wednesday, the 5th of August. Even so, anyone who missed the deadline will still receive a paper certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If an address is wrong, a current student should contact their school, college or training provider immediately because the centre must update it. The official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sqa.org.uk\/sqa\/113868.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">SQA results booklet<\/a> explains certificates, digital delivery and results-day support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"aioseo-are-sqa-exam-results-delayed-in-scotland\">Are SQA Exam Results Delayed in Scotland?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is currently no official announcement of a national delay. SQA Results Day 2026 remains confirmed for Tuesday, the 4th of August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Searches for \u201cSQA exam results delayed Scotland\u201d may refer to different issues. A national delay is not the same as a late postal certificate, a slow email or one result missing from a certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a text or email has not appeared, students should:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Allow time after 8 am<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check spam and junk folders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm that the account was activated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check that the saved contact details were correct<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Learners abroad will only receive a text if their phone can accept messages outside the UK and has enough credit. Result texts and emails cannot be resent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the paper certificate does not arrive, contact the school, college or training provider. Staff can confirm the results they received and investigate the missing certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"aioseo-sqa-exams-2026-timetable-scotland\">SQA Exams 2026 Timetable Scotland<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2026 National Qualifications exam period ran from Wednesday, the 22nd of April, to Tuesday, the 2nd of June. After the exams, markers review each paper, coursework task and other piece of assessed work. Keeping the full timetable there avoids mixing exam-date information with results and appeals guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"aioseo-understanding-sqa-results-and-grades\">Understanding SQA Results and Grades<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher courses use grades from A to D. A grade D still counts as a course pass. However, \u201cNo Award\u201d means the learner did not meet the minimum standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By contrast, National 2, National 3 and National 4 courses do not use letter grades. Instead, students pass or fail each unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"aioseo-how-grade-boundaries-work\">How Grade Boundaries Work<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Grade boundaries show the lowest mark needed for each grade. By contrast, if the paper was easier, it may raise them. Therefore, students should not assume that one fixed percentage always equals an A. Instead, they can ask their school or college for more detail about their marks and grade bands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"aioseo-what-the-certificate-shows\">What the Certificate Shows<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The certificate includes qualifications from different years, not only courses completed in 2026. Therefore, it is normal to see older awards listed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, check the subject, level, grade or award, date and SCQF level. If anything is missing or incorrect, contact the school, college or training provider. They can then check the learner\u2019s record and correct any errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"aioseo-what-to-do-if-your-sqa-results-are-missing\">What to Do If Your SQA Results Are Missing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If the whole certificate has not arrived, first contact the school, college or training provider on SQA Results Day 2026. The centre can then confirm the results it received and help trace the missing certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If one qualification is missing or looks wrong:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First, note the course name, level and Scottish Candidate Number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next, contact the school, college or training provider.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, ask the centre to check its entry and result records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finally, follow its advice before starting an appeal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>However, remember that an appeal only reviews the marking of a grade. Therefore, it is not the first step when a course is missing because of an admin or record error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"aioseo-how-to-appeal-sqa-exam-results\">How to Appeal SQA Exam Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The free appeals service opens at 9 am on SQA Results Day 2026. Learners can apply themselves. Alternatively, a parent, carer, school, college or training provider can apply for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An appeal may help if a student thinks there was a marking error. A senior marker will check the paper again. They will make sure every section was marked, the marks were added correctly and the right grade was recorded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the grade may stay the same, go up or go down. Students cannot appeal an A grade.
